From old occasions, there have been revelations made by Egyptians, Incas and numerous other people who have utilized various instruments to find reassurances and planet, which regularly represented divine beings. Outings were not made into space until the twentieth century, yet when they began, there was a blast of disclosures. First man watched the moon through space stations, and afterward soon subsequently landed. At that point it was Mars, however man is yet to arrive on a superficial level. NASA is known as one of the dads of room. The association has created transports, space stations and numerous different mechanical assemblies. NASA keeps on giving exploration information and plans of forthcoming missions. Despite the fact that heaps of computations can be made for missions to be finished, people are as yet unfit to investigate the marvels past the Milky Way Galaxy. The Mechanics of SpaceGalaxies, dark gaps, stars, and planets all identify with each other. These tremendous components have a place with what man has come to call space. Space revelations are made ordinary. Regardless of whether theyre enormous or little, it is still newfound information for humankind. Mechanics, all the more explicitly Astronautical Engineering has made disclosures increasingly substantial and lets researchers ascertain explicit amounts of information obtained. Aviation has permitted mankind to get to where it is today and further utilization of information in this field permits future revelations to be made. Space has consistently boggled the brain of numerous researchers for a large number of years. A wide range of instruments have been utilized to watch the skies above us and the normal phenomenas that happen on uncommon events. Various devices have been utilized to compute and break down various parts of room, and related to these devices various counts and conditions have been created to help these diverse mechanical assemblies. The Egyptians utilized triangles for estimations; the Incas utilized the mirrors to turn out to be increasingly acquainted with the divine beings or the sky. The previous years gave various human advancements an approach to speak with various divine beings; utilizing the stars as an approach to impart. Nonetheless, as the years passed by and we entered the twentieth century, space investigation had become the principle center and breaking down various information from various planets, for example, Mars and the Moon. NASA is one of the principal pioneers to get intrigued by space investigation and set up plans. Right off the bat various satellites were propelled into space to attempt to check whether correspondence could be produced using far separations. At that point as time advanced and innovation was improved with the manner in which satellites were made and the path transmissions of signs were done, new thoughts surfaced. NASA concocted propelling a space station. They declared that setting up a for all time kept an eye on space station would be gainful to any future dispatch missions (the Moon) and recuperation periods of development missions Modular dispatch frameworks would be gathered effectively at the station to make space execution progressively productive. Returning space missions at the space station would give examination of specific information to be done at zero-gravity 1. After the space station was propelled and going full bore, plans were at long last in apparatus to dispatch missions to various planets, beginning with the Moon in the late 1960s, after numerous fruitful, and some purposeless, plans were made to visit different planets. The most noticeable was Mars, in which tests were sent to break down the environmental factors of the planet. .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .postImageUrl , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .focused content territory { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:hover , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:visited , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:active { border:0!important; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc { show: square; progress: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-change: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; darkness: 1; progress: haziness 250ms; webkit-change: murkiness 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:active , .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:hover { obscurity: 1; change: mistiness 250ms; webkit-change: haziness 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .focused content region { width: 100%; position: relati ve; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .ctaText { outskirt base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: striking; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; text-embellishment: underline; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; fringe: none; outskirt sweep: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; textual style weight: intense; line-stature: 26px; moz-fringe span: 3px; text-adjust: focus; text-enrichment: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-stature: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/basic arrow.png)no-rehash; position: supreme; right: 0; top: 0; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40c c33aa9661bc .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .u0de63eadc9d1d0aedc40cc33aa9661bc:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: Cinematography Treatment Example Essay disregarding this, there still have not been any missions to send a bus with space explorers. There still should be various of computations that should be made with the goal for this to be practiced in the close by future. There are figurings that can be made utilizing set recipes, anyway further information examination must be made on Mars so as to substitute the factors required into various equations to create the outcomes that are required for protected and profitable investigation 2. In spite of the fact that heaps of effective missions have been practiced over the previous years, loads of pro gress can even now be made. Expenses of missions are certainly keeping down researchers from seeking after further examination and investigation of our system. The principle issues in missions is the measure of fuel required (cost and separation of movement become possibly the most important factor), the expense of making plume weight mechanical assemblies and giving enough oxygen to a team to keep going for a particular measure of time 3. Impetus innovation has created throughout the years and has assisted in space disclosures by diminishing the expense of missions; for the most part the expense of fuel and the separation transports can travel. Impetus intends to push forward or drive an article forward. Frameworks incorporate propellers, turbines, ramjet and rockets. Rockets have been the establishment of room travel and increasingly effective structures have created to speed up, decline cost and grow the skyline of the universe. The abilities of rockets can be determined utilizing diverse push conditions to check whether a specific model will be progressively productive. As referenced before, there are likewise crisis or back up driving forces that can be utilized, for example, propellers on the off chance that there are issues with fuel or harmed segments of the boats from meteoroid showers or other space events. 4Space lovers, principally researchers and lab professionals might want to send tests past the Milky Way Galaxy and investigate the outside universe and watch the various cosmic systems that encompass. Despite this, the innovation and capacities that the mankind has accomplished hitherto isn't sufficient. The ideal opportunity for a vessel to travel such a separation would take dreadfully long 5. There would not be sufficient fuel and radio contact would be lost before the finish of the world could be reached. Likewise, there would be zero chance of send a human that far, for straightforward reasons; costs, time, fuel and threats. In spite of the fact that researchers accept that with time, improvement in innovation will fortify capacities of movement and in the long run let us investigate the external locales of our world 6. NASA, as referenced beforehand, is the biggest donor towards space investigation and along these lines is the significant supporter towards introducing new realities. NASA gets billions of dollars every year to direct space examinations and investigate better approaches for movement. Plans for propelling tests to circumvent the cosmic system are being made and started on a persistent premise. Researchers working for NASA keep utilizing entangled mechanical computations to make sense of if a strategic be triumphant. The association will proceed with undertakings and expects to facilitate its disclosures to new highs sooner rather than later 7. Mechanics will additionally get helpful to each researcher that investigates the questions of the universe. Innovative advances in various fields in the years to come will absolutely fortify resolutions for information accumulated. Astronautical designing will turn out to be perpetually valuable as flying vehicles and discusses living on Mars become possibly the most important factor. The truth of the matter is that humankind will turn out to be increasingly reliant in the information on this field and will utilize it to all the more likely suit people in the future. Mecha

Why the Department of Homeland Security Was Created

The Department of Homeland Security is the primary agency in the U.S. government whose mission is to prevent terrorist attacks on American soil. Homeland Security is a Cabinet-level department  that has its  origins in the nations response to the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, when members of terrorist network al-Qaeda hijacked four American commercial airliners and intentionally crashed them into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, the Pentagon near Washington, D.C., and a field in Pennsylvania. Unified, Effective Response President George W. Bush  initially created Homeland Security as an office inside the White House  10 days after the terrorist attacks. Bush announced the creation of the office and his choice to lead it, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, on Sept. 21, 2001. Bush said of Ridge: He will lead, oversee and coordinate a comprehensive national strategy to safeguard our country against terrorism and respond to any attacks that may come. Ridge reported directly to the president and was assigned the task of coordinating the 180,000 employees working in the nations  intelligence, defense and law  enforcement agencies to protect the homeland. Ridge described the daunting role of his agency in a 2004 interview with reporters: We have to be right a billion-plus times a year, meaning we have to make literally hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of decisions every year, or every day, and the terrorists only have to be right once. One lawmaker, citing the biblical story of Noah, described Ridges  monumental task as trying to build an ark after the rain has already started falling. Creation of Department Bushs creation of the White House office also marked the beginning of a debate in Congress to establish a Department of Homeland Security in the broader federal government. Bush initially resisted the idea of moving such an important responsibility into the Byzantine bureaucracy but signed onto the idea in 2002. Congress approved the creation of The Department of Homeland Security in November 2002, and Bush signed the legislation into law that same month. He also nominated Ridge to be the first-ever secretary of the department. The Senate confirmed Ridge in January 2003. 22 Agencies Absorbed Bushs intention in creating the Department of Homeland Security was to bring under one roof most  of the federal governments law-enforcement, immigration, and anti-terror-related agencies. The president moved 22 federal departments and agencies under Homeland Security, as one official told The Washington Post, so we are not doing things in stovepipes but doing it as a department. The move was portrayed at the time as the largest reorganization of the federal governments responsibilities since World War II. The 22 federal departments and agencies absorbed by  Homeland Security are: Transportation Security AdministrationCoast Guard  Federal  Emergency Management Agency  Secret Service  Customs and Border ProtectionImmigration and Customs EnforcementCitizenship and Immigration ServicesCritical Infrastructure Assurance Office of the Department of CommerceNational Communications System of the Federal Bureau of InvestigationNational Infrastructure Simulation and Analysis CenterEnergy Assurance Office of the Department of Energy  Federal Computer Incident Response Center of the General Services AdministrationFederal Protective Service  Office of Domestic PreparednessFederal Law Enforcement Training Center  Integrated Hazard Information System of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric AdministrationNational Domestic Preparedness Office of the FBIDomestic Emergency Support Team of the Department of JusticeMetropolitan Medical Response System of the Department of Health and Human ServicesNational Disaster Medical System of the Department of Health and Human ServicesOffice of Emergency Preparedness and the Strategic National Stockpile of the Department of Health and Human ServicesPlum Island Animal Disease Center of Department of Agriculture Evolving Role Since 2001 The Department of Homeland Security has been called on numerous times to handle catastrophes other than those caused by terrorism. They include cyber crimes, border security and immigration, and human trafficking and natural disasters such as the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in 2010 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The department also plans security for major public events including the Super Bowl and the presidents State of the Union Address. Controversies  and Criticism The Department of Homeland Security came under scrutiny almost from the moment it was created. It has endured stinging criticism from lawmakers, terrorism experts and the public for issuing vague and confusing alerts over the years.   Terror alerts: Its color-coded alert system, developed under Ridge, was widely ridiculed and criticized for not being more specific about how the public should respond to elevated threats. The system used five colors—green, blue, yellow, orange, and red—to inform the public in real-time about the threat of terrorism.Appearing on  The Tonight Show  with Jay Leno in November 2002, Ridge was pressed by the comedian:  Im sitting at home in my underpants watching the game and, boop, were in yellow. What do I do now?  Ridges response: Change shorts. Nonetheless, the color-coded alerts were a source of frustration among Americans who were being told  to be on alert but werent sure about what to look for.Duct tape: So, too, was the departments 2003 directive that Americans stock up on  duct tape and plastic sheeting to seal the windows and doors of their home in the event of a terrorist attack.Harold Schaitberger, general president of the  International Associatio n of Fire Fighters, told the  Chicago Tribune: Most of the suggestions, I dont believe, are effective at all in really helping to protect anyone from many of these biological and chemical threats.  I mean, duct tape and plastic? Wheres the good air coming from? Hows it going to be recirculated? Beyond the fact that we already know, for nerve gas and other elements, the plastic is totally ineffective.Quipped Leno: This means the only people who are going to survive an attack are serial killers. Who else has duct tape and plastic sheeting in their car?Going global: Homeland Security has also caused friction between the United States and some European countries for deploying about 2,000 special agents and immigration workers to more than 70 countries, as The New York Times reported in late 2017. The United States under President Donald Trump was accused of trying to export its immigration laws, the newspaper reported.Hurricane Katrina: Homeland Security came under the most intense fire, however, for its response to and handling of the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the costliest natural disaster in American history. The agency was hammered for not developing a national response plan until two days after the storm hit.If our government failed so utterly in preparing for, and responding to, a disaster that had been long predicted and was imminent for days, we must wonder how much more profound the failure would be if a disaster were to take us by complete surprise, said Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, who called Homeland Securitys response  alarming and unacceptable.   Department History Here is a timeline of key moments in the creation of the Department of Homeland Security: Sept. 11, 2001: Members of the terrorist network al-Qaeda, acting under the direction of Osama bin Laden, orchestrate a series of attacks on the United States after hijacking four airplanes. The attacks kill nearly 3,000 people.Sept. 22, 2001: President George W. Bush creates the Office of Homeland Security in the White House, and chooses then-Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge to lead it.  Nov. 25, 2002: Bush signs the Congress-passed bill creating the Department of Homeland Security in the federal government. We are taking historic action to defend the United States and protect our citizens against the dangers of a new era, Bush says at the ceremony. He nominates Ridge to be secretary.Jan. 22, 2003:  The U.S. Senate, in a  unanimous, 94-0 vote, confirms Ridge as the first secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Bush issues a prepared statement afterward reading With todays historic vote, the Senate has demonstrated our shared commitment to doing everything we can to secure our homeland. The department initially has about 170,000 employees.Nov. 30, 2004: Ridge announces he plans to step down as secretary of Homeland Security, citing personal reasons. I just want to step back and pay a little more attention to personal matters,  he tells reporters. Ridge serves in the position through Feb. 1, 2005.Feb. 15, 2005: Michael Chertoff, a federal appeals court judge and former assistant U.S. attorney general credited with helping investigators link the terrorist attacks to al-Qaeda, takes over as the second Homeland Security secretary under Bush. He departs at the end of Bushs second term.Jan. 20, 2009: Janet Napolitano, the governor of Arizona, is tapped by incoming President Barack Obama to serve as Homeland Security secretary in his administration. She resigns in July 2013 to become the head of the University of California system after becoming embroiled in the debate over immigration; she is accused both of being too harsh in deporting those living in t he United States illegally and not acting forcefully enough to secure the nations borders.Dec. 23, 2013: Jeh Johnson, a former general counsel to the Pentagon and the Air Force, takes over as the fourth Homeland Security secretary. He serves through the remainder of Obamas tenure in the White House.Jan. 20, 2017: John F. Kelly, a retired Marine general,  and incoming President Donald Trumps pick, becomes the fifth Homeland Security secretary. He serves in the position through July 2017 until becoming chief of staff to Trump.Dec. 5, 2017: Kirstjen Nielsen, a  cybersecurity expert  who worked in the Bush administration and as a deputy to Kelly, is confirmed as Homeland Security secretary to replace her former boss. The department has grown to 240,000 employees, according to published reports. Nielsen comes under fire for enforcing Trumps policy of separating children and parents who had crossed the U.S.-Mexican border illegally. She resigns in April 2019 amid clashes with Trump that she was not being tough enough on immigration.April 8, 2019: Trump names Kevin McAleenan acting Homeland Security secretary following Nielsens resignation. As commissioner of  U.S. Customs and Border Protection,  McAleenan supported Trumps tough stance on the southern border. McAleenan was never elevated above the status of acting secretary and turns in his resignation in October 2019.

Capital Punishment Is Deterrence For Crime - 1570 Words

Dating back to ancient times, all the way up until the mid-twentieth century, it was tradition to execute criminals after they had committed a heinous crime on another victim. To this day, capital punishment is a subject undergoing intense study, and is a hot topic of controversy. It is a challenging debate with many different viewpoints. Many people are pro death penalty, while others are quite against it, and there are others with amphibological feelings towards the subject. One of the many different questions that originate when the topic of the death penalty arises is if capital punishment is deterrence for crime. Capital punishment stirs up a fierce debate, but over the years research has proven it is not deterrence, and states without the death penalty have a lower crime rate than states than allow the death penalty. The theory of deterrence is based upon the assumption that individuals measure the costs and rewards associated with their actions, and choose actions that crop th e greatest gain at the least cost. Therefore, crime occurs when unlawful actions are seen either as a greater profit or less painful than legal alternatives. The main reasoning behind criminal sanctions is to prevent future crime. Crime deterrence is achieved through providing a system of sanctions that convinces future criminals that crime is not a positive action to make. To achieve the ultimate deterrence, sanctions must be strict enough to outweigh the benefits derived from crime, managedShow MoreRelatedThe Deterrence Theory : Deterrence And Punishment831 Words   |  4 PagesClassic Deterrence Theory The deterrence theory was based on the belief that humans control their behavior based on the perceived rewards and punishments that would result from such actions. The Health Care Field An Occupation Of Disease...

My passion and admiration for the health care field began during my teenage years, when I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis: a chronic, autoimmune disease affecting various joints throughout my body. As I went through years of treatment, my physician and other medical professionals were profoundly helpful, and motivational in keeping a positive attitude. Their care was the impetus for my future goals, as I saw the genuine goodness that they felt from helping others. As a result of all the medical help and emotional support that I received from these medical providers throughout my youth, I have chosen to pursue a career in the service of others through the public health field—an occupation of disease prevention and promotion of good health practices. My occupational goal is to be a health care system policy analyst at the federal level while being employed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Answer: Introduction A marketing entry strategy is pre planned way of delivering goods and services to their target market and allocating the customers after. While involving in import and export transaction, several contracts are taken place in a host country. When a company wishes to enter new country, the three major issues can be seen like marketing, sourcing and investment. Sourcing is deciding whether to obtain or buy or make products. Investment is nothing but to think how to entry other country with maximum profit and stay financially strong as well (Sansare, 2013). Some marketing entry strategies are: Exporting Mergers and acquisitions Joint venture Licensing Franchising Country trade Third country location and Fully owned manufacturing facility Public Bank Berhad was established in 1966 by The Hing Piow. Teh Hong Piow to retire as Public Bank chairman in 2019 The Hong Piow has controlled activities of the bank since 51years but is retiring from the non-executive chairman post from 1st of January, 2019. He has brought par excellence over the last years and contributed a lot to the banking industry. He will remain as an advisor who will support and guide the Public Bank group. Entry mode: Joint venture Public Bank Berhad have chosen joint venture as an entry method and implemented successfully. It has owned 100% license from state bank of Vietnam and rename its existing name as Public Bank Vietnam limited i.e. .PBV instead of PBB. The economic growth on Vietnam is commendable and is growing with a huge progress with a 6.68% of GDP in 2015. PBV will aim at focusing the retail banking sector of Vietnam and help customers in operating SMEs (Tuoi, 2014). Moreover, public bank Vietnam will provide a good and sound platform for the business in Malaysian community to operate business activities. The insurance of 100% foreign owned bank license to PBVN would boost PBB presence on regional basis in Indo-China (Corporate news, 2016). SWOT analysis Joint venture of PBB and PBV is quite successful and will definitely promote success. Since, Vietnam is one of the fastest growing country in terms of economy. It also aims at focusing on the FDI sector and some private sectors as well. Moreover, Vietnam has a huge population growth in the world and also expected to grow at the rate of 1.2% in 2020. Vietnamese are highly educated and prefer to involve in IT sectors and banking sectors at a more competitive cost (Cavusgil, 2012). So it will benefit in the successful joint venture of the bank. Similarly, the legal environment in the Vietnam is very transparent which easily gives access to MNC to enter the market (Ernst, 2013). The bank aims at focusing on the different major business divisions from where it manages its income which are the company strength as well. Domestic consumer banking and SME lending: It offers finance for purchase of several properties, share margin financing, working capital, trade financing and credit card guarantee which helps bank to earn profits on billions and also become the largest contributor of profit. Fund management: It manages 133 units of trust funds in Asset under Management i.e. AUA which worth RM 70.3 billion. In the year 2017, it has achieved RM 967.5 Million and RM 572.9 Million in operating revenues and profits before tax (PBT). Bancassurance: Public bank Berhad has done a 10 year partnership with AIA group to sell its insurance products with 500 licensed staffs and for sales team and 2700 staffs for credit life insurance products. It created its market by generating RM 224.6 billion of profits (Berhad, 2014). The weakness seen in the Vietnam country in banking sector are inadequate amount of infrastructure, grey areas of Vietnamese law and language barriers. The laws and regulations in the Vietnam restrict the entry of any new business and it creates hurdles. The documentation required for export and import is very difficult in such country (HTF, 2017). There are several concerns regarding obligations and responsibilities where the new entrants may suffer. Despite of all the mentioned weakness and obstacles, these factors can be easily avoided and will help in successful venture if worked properly (Vuong 2013). Operational Strategy and corporate objective The company makes sure that it has the growing market share in retail business in both the domestic as well as overseas markets by maintaining prudent risk and high asset quality management. The effectiveness of maintaining the strategy and executing it helps the company to build strong bonding and offerings of competitive packages to its demanding customers. The bank does not compromise in the quality of its assets and has proven itself in sustaining accelerated growth. The loans and advances of the group is increasing along with the core customer deposits which is good sign for the company (Asia bank, 2012). This bank focuses on sustaining and maintaining the most suitable, efficient and financial institution. The objective followed by bank is aiming on its customers by providing them most courteous services in terms of innovations if new products and services. It also aims on its shareholders by generating maximum profits on the investments. It also develop objective for the employees by promoting their staffs with huge fringe benefits and providing opportunities for career enhancements (Public bank, 2018). Introduction of PB share link was also performed by this bank. PB share link is a product which was specially designed by the bank that will help customers to share trading and margin financial needs on the Malaysia Security Exchange Bhd i.e. MSEB. It enables its potential customers to increase the purchasing power by leveraging against the funds that is already existing. It does not matter whether the customers are the existing one or the new investors, public bank will always provide the best alternative investment decision that will best suit their needs and maximize the profit. Public bank also aims at providing the insurance services to its customers. People who have already taken home loan form this bank and now are looking for best insurance plan to cover the loan taken. It also provide income protection plan which will help the customers to take care of the family members when they are no longer available.so this bank provides such plan which will focus the two aspects i.e. h igher return with maximum insurance coverage. Whatever the needs are, public banks offers variety of insurance plan which are underwritten by ING insurance Berhad to serve the protection needs of their reputed customers. Intended organizational design The global product offered are fixed deposits, acquisition of assets and vehicles, credit card guarantee, foreign currency accounts. It also provides Islamic banking, nominee and trustee services, unit trust funds, insurance products, and investment banking services, M and A, stock broking, debt advisory services, structured financing services across the globe with the network of 259 branches. Global area The company operates with a total network of 259 branches and 2000 terminals for the services in Malaysia, 83 branches in Hong Kong, 28 in Cambodia, 7 in Vietnam, 4 in Laos and 3 in Sri Lanka. It is headquarted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Lek, 2018). Global function The main function of this bank is to provide strong financial performance and prudent management in terms of consistency. Since it has a huge network in many countries, it has gained many customers in its operations by providing many products and services. It has also targeted new entrepreneurs and small to medium to large organizations as well. It serves its customers internationally also. Scope for expansion Public bank Berhad is the second most expensive bank in terms of market value offers. The bank after the joint venture will focus more on the organic expansion to gain growth in future. The members of the bank are still looking for the skills and gender diversity where they can diversify their products and services and earn a huge profits. It will generate the scope of expansion too. To enhance its performance, it will aim at maintaining the earnings momentum by neglecting all the challenges faced in the operating environment. Since, it has already expanded its business, it has now no plans to expand into other many Asian markets. It would rather focus on reinforcing its strategy in the countries it already exists. To will focus on the sustainable growth in retail banking sectors. It will start focusing on the residential properties financing, passenger vehicles and commercial lending, supported by extension of credit to small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It is the number one bank in lending the residential mortgages, passenger vehicles and property to domestic lenders. Compression in the net interest margin is the main issue faced by the several banks. But this bank has promised to increase productivity more efficiently and provide quality assets despite of the issue faced. It has also opted cost model approach to calculate its accounting standards but not fair value model to analyze cost and benefits because fair value model will not generate profit in terms of reserves, equity capital and its return (Puspadevi, 2015). Financial capital requirements After the joint venture of the bank, the capital required for the growth of the business is very high. To reach its estimated growth, it has be very strong financially. To manage several projects undertaken after the joint venture of the bank, the capital required has raised up. Despite of the global financial crisis took place in 2008, it managed to stand as the 3rd largest banking group in Malaysia. The bank manages its income from the five main sources i.e. Domestic consumer banking and SME lending, fund management, Bancassurance, investment banking and international operations. In order to manage all those incomes, it has faced several risk and requirements as well (Value investment, 2017). The risks identified and monitored are credit risk, market risk, operational risk and capital adequacy risk. Credit risk is the loss of revenue which when taken in the form of loan and are not returned back. It has recorded Gross Impaired Loans Ratio of 0.5% which is a sign of financial crisis. Market risk involves loss from variables like foreign exchange rates, equity prices and interest rates. Likewise, operational risk is the risk of cyber threats and electronic payments frauds which weakens the information security of a company. Public bank manages to engage itself in consultants and services to ensure its technology. Moreover, capital adequacy risk is the risk aroused due to the insufficient capital in order to satisfy regulatory capital requirements. Since public bank has a sound financial conditions, it does not faces any financial issues. It has recorded its total capital ratio of 16% and the minimum percentage required is only 8%. It is also expected that in the year 2019, the additional capital conservation buffer will be of 2.5% (Rahman, 2012). Staffing policy Staffing policy is the tool which is used to promote and develop corporate culture I an organization. Employees can be broke down into many categories depending on the work conditions in an international company. The three categories are polycentric staffing policy, geocentric staffing policy and ethnocentric staffing policy. Polycentric staffing policy In polycentric staffing, a company hires a host country nationals in the company for different positions i.e. from subordinates to executives. In developed countries, polycentric policy can easily be implemented because they have got highly educated and trained employees who can easily be located (Tiwari, 2013). In the public bank Berhad, it follows polycentric staffing policy where host country nationals are hired who guides the company on local market condition, laws, values and norms at foreign locations. Due to implementation of such policy, it makes local employees cheaper because there will be no relocation expenses and other expenses of compensation. Public bank follows this policy because it helps to gain sustainable growth in terms of domestic economy and international profits as well (Grimsley, 2018). Ethnocentric staffing policy Ethnocentric staffing involves staffing of the employees in several important positions in foreign subsidiary with expatriates from the companys home country. Expatriates are those who represent the company in the better way and makes sure that the offices at host country are properly aligned with the home country headquarters (Shah, 2012). Here in the bank i.e. public bank Berhad, it has set its employees from the home country to the host country so that they will guide better and represent the company in foreign subsidiary. The bank has also transferred its current employees to foreign who keeps the record of all the task performed there. It aims at avoiding the language barriers and communication becomes easy and also it helps to eradicate cultural barriers (Cram, 2016). Geocentric staffing policy Under this staffing policy, the company recruits the person for the positions available despite of their nationalities. It aims at focusing on the globally integrated business strategy the constrained factors involved here are political and government laws. Large banking institutions generally opt these strategy to gain sustainable growth and success (Dowling, 2013). In the public bank Berhad, for international recruitment, it uses internal source of recruitment for effective tracking system. It recruit its employees on various segments and provides training to their employees which enables them to work efficiently and effectively (Whitehead, 2017). Conclusion Thus, it can be concluded that public bank plays the major role in the banking sector and provides many products and services to its customers. The bank has successfully implemented the joint venture of the two companys public bank Berhad and public bank Vietnam. This venture provides the sound platform for the business activities in terms of finance. It also aims at creating a transparency by creating an updated technology and getting aware of the misuses. It provides fund management advices where the customers are aware of where to invest and how much to invest to earn the maximum profit. It has a huge network of several branches and terminals across the world which aims at maintaining the sustainable growth of the company. It also provides mortgage of the vehicles and properties to its domestic lenders. It has also aimed at providing loans to its potential customers at the time of urgency and meet their requirements. Likewise, it also serves its customers by providing a platform d igitally where they can access the required information globally.
